Meet the Interns – Roberts & Eddy, P.C. Welcomes Five Summer Interns

Independence, IA (June 10, 2024) – The law office of Roberts & Eddy, P.C. is pleased to welcome five summer interns.

Madison Larson – Madison, an Independence native, graduated summa cum laude from Winona State University in 2023 with an accounting degree. She is now a second-year law student at the University of Wisconsin. She plans to graduate in 2026 and begin her career as an attorney.

“I chose to intern at Roberts & Eddy, P.C. because of the opportunity to learn from some of the best attorneys in the state of Iowa. Working with these exceptional professionals offers invaluable mentorship and insight into the legal field. Additionally, contributing to the legal needs of my hometown gives me a deep sense of pride and fulfillment, making this internship both professionally and personally rewarding.”

 

Gracie Joblinske – Gracie graduated from Jesup and is currently pursuing her studies in Business Law at Drake University. After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend Drake Law School. She would like to focus her practice on Family Law.

“I wanted to intern here because I love the idea of a small town with a close community. I knew the attorneys I would get to work with would be very helpful and welcoming.”

 

 

 

 

Rachel Eddy – Rachel graduated from Independence and is currently pursuing her studies in Marketing and Sports Recreation Management at the University of Iowa. She aspires to further her education by attending graduate school or law school after her time at Iowa.

“I am very excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to learn from the best!” says Rachel.

 

 

 

 

Emily Erdelt – Emily graduated from Independence and is currently pursuing her studies in Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Northern Iowa. She has ambitions of a career in forensic accounting or financial management.

When asked why she chose to intern at Roberts & Eddy, P.C. Emily explained that she “wanted to gain the experience that this well-respected business has to offer.”

 

 

 

 

Kayla Kress – Kayla graduated from East Buchanan and is currently pursuing her studies in Accounting at Upper Iowa University. After graduation, Kayla has the goal of becoming an accountant.

When asked why she wanted to intern at Roberts & Eddy, P.C. Kayla responded, “I’ve heard it’s a great work environment. I am excited to gain practical experience and develop my accounting skills with the bookkeeping department.”

 

Brian C. Eddy, President and a shareholder of Roberts & Eddy, P.C., stated, “As our firm continues to grow, we are excited to be able to expand our summer internship program.  This is a great opportunity to give young professionals a chance to gain real world experience while pursuing their post-secondary degrees.  We have a stellar group of interns this summer and look forward to see them develop various skills they can benefit from in the future.”.
