The law office of Roberts & Eddy, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of two law school graduates, Melody Lien and Audra Saunders, to their growing team, effective February 27, 2017

“Our firm is pleased to have two recent Drake Law School graduates join our firm.  They will be great additions to the community.  With our growth the past few years, the hiring of additional staff will allow us to continue to provide quality and timely legal services for years to come,” said Brian C. Eddy, a shareholder of Roberts & Eddy, P.C.

Originally from Macomb, IL, Melody Lien received her undergrad at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA and attended Drake Law School in Des Moines. During school, Lien gained law experience while working for a Workers’ Compensation firm and Civil Rights/Employment Law firm in Des Moines.

“I look forward to becoming a great advocate and counselor for clients of Roberts & Eddy, P.C.” Lien continues, “I grew up in a small town, so Independence already feels like home. So far I love the spirit of the community and enjoy that everything you need is right here in town. I can’t wait to experience my first summer in Independence and enjoy all it has to offer.”

Audra Saunders, originally from Des Moines, received her undergrad at Drake University and attended Drake Law School in Des Moines. She also worked as a Law Clerk at the Law offices of Mark R. Hinshaw during Law School.

“I’m looking forward to learning more about real estate law and to apply my skills gained from school and previous employment in my new role here at Roberts & Eddy, P.C.” Additionally, Saunders mentions, “I like that Independence is a close-knit community and everyone seems really involved in the community.”

Saunders and Lien both plan to take the Iowa Bar Examination in the summer of 2017 and are eager to obtain associate attorney status with Roberts & Eddy, P.C.
