Independence, IA (February 14, 2024) – The law office of Roberts & Eddy, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of Melanie Svoboda to our probate and trust department.

 

Svoboda is from Independence, Iowa, and graduated from Independence High School. After graduation, she attended Kirkwood, Hamilton Business College, and Hawkeye Community College, obtaining her AAS – Legal Office Assistant.

 

Melanie previously worked in law firms in Independence and Waterloo/Cedar Falls and at a local community college. “Establishing good working relationships, customer care, organization, and attention to detail are all skills I feel will greatly benefit me here in my current role. I feel it’s important to get the job done and complete the task at hand to the highest standard,” commented Svoboda

 

In her spare time, Melanie loves to hang out with her family. She and her husband have two grown children and two children still at home. They stay busy attending their middle school-aged children’s meets and games. Besides working full-time jobs, Melanie and her husband also farm in the Independence area. In their downtime, they participate in a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as four-wheeling, riding bicycles, fishing, kayaking, and, most recently, taking up camping again, getting to experience local county and state parks.
